Gas coming out of lawn mower exhaust pipe?

I have a Snapper rear engine riding lawn mower and raw gas is coming out of the exhaust pipe. I changed the oil before I started it, and it looked like gas was leaking into it somehow. What's the problem, and how do I fix it?
