Slider? Or snappers? Turtle :)?

If thi sis going to be your first turtle I would suggest a slider they are easier to take care of, and quite frankly are an awesome species, Snapper while cool and illegal in california :( are harder to take care of and get very big very quickly. IMHO I would go with the slider.
