My baby turtle wont eat?!?!?

i caught my baby turtle out in the like the fish were trying to kill him so i practically saved his tiny life i named him turtle :)) i think he just hstched he's only the size of a kids thumb nail maybe a tiny bit bigger. i got him 6 days ago and he wont eat turtle food or a baby frog so how can i get him to eat? and what does he eat? and any additional tips for this baby turtle? plus i have no clue what type he is i think he might be a snapper but im not sure. PLZ HELP!!
