How did Noah fit 2.000.000 species of animals on his 40 foot arc?

I know that God flooded the earth to punish the people on it, but he allowed some righteous men and women as well as animals to survive. In my biology class we learnes that there may be millions of species of animals on earth, so how did Noah fit them all on his arc? Please help me because I am very confuses.
