how can we say gay marriage is about morals? Marriage in a legal sense is a financial partnership in which the spouse becomes legal next of kin. There are no legal requirements that the two parties must have sex or that they will be punished in any way if they have sex with someone else. Our current legal definition of marriage really has nothing to do with morals at all.
