Can someone explain football positions to me?

I watch football with my dad sometimes, and I know the general rules. One of the things I don't fully understand is the positions. I know there's the guys who block the defenders (linemen), the guy who throws (quarterback), the guy who snaps (snapper), guy who runs really far and gets thrown to (wide receiver), the guy who kicks (special plays? punter?), and the guy who runs it back after a punt/kickoff (running back). Everything else is kind of vague to me.
